72-yr-old man rapes minor girl in Odisha's Paradip

Paradip: In a shocking incident, a 72-year-old man allegedly raped a minor girl at his shop in Paradip area of Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district, today.

According to reports, the accused, identified as Prafulla Mohanty of Nolia Sahi under Abhayachandapur police limits, committed the offence after locking the victim inside the shop.

Later, locals detained the shopkeeper and handed him over to police. Acting on a complaint lodged by the parents of the girl, police have registered a case and started investigation. The victim was sent for medical examination while police detained the accused for questioning.
