720 more test positive for COVID-19 in Odisha; Toll crosses 7000

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 720 more COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours while a total of 50727 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.41%.

Khurda district reported highest 279 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (91) and Jagatsinghpur (33).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 996153 with 9672 active cases.

The COVID-19 toll in the state crossed 7000-mark and reached 7021 as the Health Department reported 68 more deaths. Cuttack district recorded highest 14 fatalities.
