Bhubaneswar: All 7,579 Mini Anganwadi Centres in Odisha will be upgraded into regular Anganwadi Centres.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved a proposal in this regard.

The upgradation of Mini Anganwadi Centres will boost childcare service in the state, said the Chief Minister.

The Mini Anganwadi Centres will be upgraded into regular Anganwadi centres with an allocation of Rs 55.21 crore.

The state government will allocate Rs 36.40 crore for the purpose while the Centre will provide the balance Rs 18.80 crore.

Anganwadi centres act as childcare as well as pre-schooling facilities for children.
