Bhubaneswar: Despite rainfall activities being witnessed at some places in Odisha, at least eight places in the State sizzled due to maximum (day) temperatures at 40 Degrees Celsius or above, today.
Titilagarh town recorded the highest maximum temperature at 42.5 Degrees Celsius. It was followed by Bolangir, and Sonepur each (42.3), Boudh (42.1), Bhawanipatna, and Nuapada each (40.5), Jharsuguda (40.4) and Sambalpur (40.0).
The highest maximum temperature of 46.0°C was recorded yesterday at Titilagarh. The lowest minimum temperature of 22.0°C was recorded at Nabarangpur in the plains of Odisha.
Temperature Forecast: A gradual fall in the Maximum (day) temperature by 2°C to 3°C during next two days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.
