Bhubaneswar: Another 816 persons in Odisha contracted COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total caseload to 10,04,875. Of the fresh patients, 106 were in the age group of 0-18 years.
The new cases have been detected from 26 districts ( 475 in quarantine and 341 local contacts).
Khordha and Cuttack districts reported fresh infections in triple digits with detection of 291 and 116 cases, respectively.
As total 69,585 samples were tested in the state yesterday, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.22%. The number of active cases in the state now stands at 8,271.
Meanwhile, 69 deaths due to the virus were reported in the state today, informed Health and Family Welfare Department.
