85,000 students appear in Odisha DET

Bhubaneswar, May 17:

About 85,000 students, seeking for admission in different diploma and polytechnique colleges in Odisha, appeared in the Diploma Entrance Test (DET) which began in Odisha and the neighbouring states this morning.

Odisha DETThe students are appearing at 170 centres in Odisha, three centres each in Ranchi and Jamshedpur, two in Patna and one in Kolkata.

The first sitting of the DET which began at 10 AM will conclude at 12.30 PM while the second sitting would be held from 2 PM to 4.30 PM.

Students qualifying the DET will be eligible for admission in different diploma and polytechnique colleges in Odisha.

Sources in the Directorate of Technical Education and Training (DTET) said while 67,000 students have applied for admission in the first semester, 18,000 students have applied for admission in lateral entry.
