Boudh: At least nine Maoists including two women cadres, who were previously ill-reputed for their notorious activities, surrendered today before police in Boudh district.
The nine red rebels were identified as Yoggi Madvi alias Jyoti (20/F), Pozze Madvi (22/F), Bhima Kadti (22/M), Bhima Banjam (25/M), Bandi Banjam (30/M), Arma Raba (30/M), Malla Madvi (29/M), Deba Kadti (25/M), and Ayata Madvi (26/M). All of them are from Muler village under Phulbakdi police limits in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
The ultras surrendered before I.G of Police (Southern Range)-Berhampur Jai Narayan Pankaj.
Yoggi Madvi had joined the outlawed faction of CPI (Maoist) in 2019 and was working as a member. She was the personal security guard of Sila alias Nagmani alias Lalita (DVC) who is an active leader of the 8th company of Kandhamal-Kalahandi-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) division.
Pozze Madvi joined the Maoist party in 2020.
Both the cadres were working as per the instructions of Vikesh alias Jagdish (DVC) of the 8th company. The other seven members were also working as party members in the Maoist organisation.
They surrendered to live a normal life as they were disturbed and frustrated by the continuous unethical activities going on in Maoist organisation like sexual harassment of female cadres, extortion of funds through intimidation, promoting Ganja cultivation and smuggling, taking levy from Ganja mafias and induction of young boys and girls in the organisation by making false promises and propaganda.
They were disillusioned by the high-handed activities and rude behaviour of senior leaders towards the lower cadres. At the same time, they got attracted towards the policies of government meant for the development and upliftment of the tribal people, the Maoists said mediapersons.
