9 more die of COVID-19 in Odisha; toll rises to 531

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll increased to 531 in Odisha with 9 more fatalities due to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, informed State Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department today.

“Regret to inform the demise of Nine Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” the Department tweeted.

The deaths were reported from 5 districts. While two persons succumbed to COVID-19 in Balangir district, two each died in Cuttack, Ganjam and Khordha districts. Rayagada registered one death case in the last 24 hours.

Here’re details of fresh COVID-19 deaths in Odisha:

1. An 18 year old male of Balangir district who was also suffering from Sickle Cell disorder.

2. A 75 year old female of Balangir who was also suffering from Diabetes & Hypertension

3. A 90 year old male of Bhubaneswar.

4. A 50 year old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Tuberculosis.

5. A 67 year old female of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes & Hypertension.

6. A 70 year old male of Ganjam district.

7. A 50 year old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes.

8. A 67 year old male of Khordha district who was also suffering from Diabetes.

9. A 52 year old female of Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
