9 places in Odisha record day temperatures above 45 Degrees Celsius; Jharsuguda season’s highest with 47.0

Bhubaneswar: Despite rainfall activities being witnessed at some places in Odisha, at least nine places in the State sizzled due to maximum (day) temperatures above 45 Degrees Celsius, today.

Jharsuguda town recorded today’s and this season’s highest maximum temperature at 47.0 Degrees Celsius. It was followed by Titilagarh (46.5), Bargarh (46.3), Sambalpur (46.2), Malkangiri, and Sonepur each (45.6), Bhawanipatna (45.5), Bolangir (45.3) and Hirakud (45.2).

Other places that recorded the maximum temperatures at 40.0 Degrees Celsius or above are Rourkela (44.9), Nuapada (44.5), Boudh (44.1), Sundargarh (43.6), Phulbani (43.4), Angul (42.3), Talcher (42.2), Keonjhar (41.4), Paralakhemundi (40.4), Rayagada (40.2), respectively.

The highest maximum (day) temperature of 46.3°C was recorded yesterday at Bolangir and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 22.6°C was recorded at Boudh in the plains of Odisha.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in the Maximum temperature during next three days and fall by 2°C to 3°C thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.
