Essar Steel bags best CSR practicing company award

Essar Steel India has bagged the best CSR practicing company award for its contribution towards voluntary blood donation in Keonjhar district.

Essar Steel vice-president Srikant Kar received the award from Keonjhar collector Bishnu Sahoo at a function organized by the district medical authorities here recently.

The collector praised the efforts of Essar Steel, NGOs, academic institutions and individuals in meeting the target fixed by the District Blood Bank.

Speaking on the occasion, Kar said, “Supporting blood donation drive is part of our CSR activities that encompass health, environment, education and entrepreneurship. We will continue our efforts in these areas.”

Among others, Keonjhar CDMO Dr BN Maharana, former CDMO Dr Prabhati Rani Behera, and Essar DGM (CSR) Niladri Parhi were present.
