Accused dies on court premises in Odisha

Kendrapara: An accused died on premises of a local court while being taken for appearance following arrest here today.

The deceased was identified as Sunia Mallick, a resident of Chhapali village under Jambu marine police limits in Kendrapara district. He was arrested in an illegal fishing case.

He was among 30 accused persons scheduled to depose before the SDJM court in Kendrapara here today.

According to reports, Sunia reportedly suffered a violent head spinning on the court premises and he went unconscious.

He was immediately rushed to the Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital, where he was declared dead.
