Achyuta Samanta inducted into Odisha’s ruling BJD

Bhubaneswar: Moments after Ama Odisha Party president and former MP Soumya Ranjan Patnaik joined the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Achyuta Samanta, founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT University) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), was also inducted into the party today.

Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik made a formal announcement in this regard after Samanta met him at Naveen Nivas, residence of the CM, here.

“I am very glad that Achyuta Samanta has joined the BJD today. His joining will be a great asset to the party,” Patnaik said.

“Naveen Patnaik’s pro-people activities and commitments attracted me to join the Biju Janata Dal,” Samanta said in his reaction after joining the party.
