Sudarsan Das, well known Odisha social activist, columnist and former student leader, filed his nomination from Jaleswar assembly constituency today as an independent candidate.

A large number of local BJD supporters, who had expected him to get the party ticket, accompanied him to Baleswar for the filing of nomination.
After filing his papers, Das said he was overwhelmed by the massive support he has been receiving from thousands of people who not only endorse his nomination but have been canvassing support for him.
