Bhubaneswar, Feb 7:

Hundreds of activists of Odisha Chhatra O Yuva Mahasangathan (OCOYM) burnt the effigy of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh in the Odisha capital today.

Activists of OCOYM led by its president Ajay Kumar Pani set fire to the effigy of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister at the Master Canteen Square here.

They accused the neighbouring state Chief Minister of betraying Odisha.

The activists threatened to attack Raman Singh with ink at the Bhubaneswar airport if he doesn’t shelve his proposed visit to Odisha for campaigning in the upcoming three-tier panchayat polls in the state.

“We won’t allow Raman Singh to step on Odisha soil. If he doesn’t abandon his Odisha visit plans we will attack him with ink at the Bhubaneswar airport,” said Pani.

Notably, Raman Singh is scheduled to visit Odisha on Thursday to campaign for the BJP in the panchayat polls.
