Adarsha Vidyalaya comes up at Odisha’s industrial hub Jajpur

The Adarsha Vidyalaya at Begana under Korei Block in Odisha’s Jajpur district was inaugurated today by local MLA Akash Dasnayak in the presence of District Collector Ranjan Kumar Das.

Addressing the gathering Akash Dasnayak said, “I thank Tata Steel for their commitment towards philanthropic and CSR work. The Tata Steel constructed model school will boost education and it will be the Ideal School in coming future. The school is equipped with various facilities for overall development of students.”

Notably, Tata Steel has spent approximately Rs 4.57 crore for the construction of the model school and has provided the required classroom infrastructure as well. Built by Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company (JUSCO), a subsidiary of the company, the two-storey school building is spread across 25,000 square feet built up area.

“We are proud of our long-term partnership with Government of Odisha. The Model School will ensure quality education especially to the children of underserved communities of our society. Education helps in growth of knowledge and the model school will be instrumental in ensuring quality education of the students in the periphery,” Rajiv Kumar said.

The model schools at Danagadi, Kamakhyanagar and Nayagarh constructed by Tata Steel were inaugurated recently and many more schools are under construction.

Apart from others, Rajiv Kumar, Vice President (Operations), Tata Steel Kalinganagar, Prasanta Mallick, General Manager (Corporate Services), Tata Steel Kalinganagar, Manikanta Naik, Chief Resident, Executive, Tata Steel and Krushna Chandra Nayak, District Education Officer (DEO), Jajpur were also present on the occasion.

Local villagers, PRI members, government functionaries, Tata Steel officials and media persons were also present at the inauguration function today.
