Aditya Dash’s death case: Wife, two aides to undergo polygraph test

Bhubaneswar: In ongoing probe into death case of social activist and motivational speaker Aditya Dash, the Crime Branch of Odisha Police may conduct polygraph test on three persons including the deceased’s wife Bidyashree to crack the mystery.

Police source said that Aditya’s two aides Papu and Bikash will also undergo the lie detector test in the case.

The probe team decided to conduct the test due to mismatch in statements of trio — Bidyashree, Papu and Bikash — during a series of interrogations a month after Aditya’s death.

Following direction of Odisha DGP Abhay, the State Crime Branch is investigating into ‘mysterious’ death case of ‘Manab Premi’ Aditya Dash.

Earlier, the case was being probed by the Government Railway Police (GRP).

However, ‘People For Seva’, an NGO, which was run by Aditya, demanded for CBI inquiry into the case.

Aditya Dash was found dead on a railway track near Lingaraj Temple Road Railway Station on July 7 in Bhubaneswar.

Initial report said that the ‘mentally disturbed’ social activist was hit by a speeding train on the track.

Aditya was a popular face on social media platform. He had 81,000 followers on Facebook. He was running an old-age home in Sundarpada area on city’s outskirts and was involved in social service through ‘People For Seva’. He had married his love on June 9. Less than a month of their wedlock, he was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

His last Facebook post was regarding a quote over death indicated that he ended his life out of depression.

Also, police had seized a hand-written diary of Aditya, in which it was mentioned on a page that no one was responsible for his death. The forensic report on alleged ‘suicide note’ confirmed that it was written by him.

Meanwhile, the post-mortem report received by the GRP showed that Aditya died due to grievous injuries on his head, which was severely damaged.
