After Delhi, Maharashtra thanks Odisha CM for ensuring oxygen supply

Bhubaneswar: Another worst Covid-19 affected State today thanked Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for steps taken by him in ensuring supply of oxygen.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today called up Patnaik and thanked him for helping the State get oxygen supply from Odisha.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal thanked Patnaik during a telephonic conversation for helping the Union Territory receive oxygen from Odisha.

The Odisha Chief Minister also spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over telephone and extended his cooperation in the country’s fight against COVID-19, including ramping up oxygen production to assist other states in this emergency situation.

Worth mentioning, Delhi will get 70 MT liquid medical oxygen from Odisha. While Rourkela Steel Plant will provide 40 MT oxygen per day to Delhi, Tata Kalinga Nagar will give 30 MT/day to the Union Territory.

Currently, AIIMS Bhubaneswar and IGH Rourkela hospitals in Odisha have medical oxygen plants.
