Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre issued thunderstorm and rainfall warning for six districts including coastal belt by this afternoon.

Moderate thunderstorm, lightning and light to moderate rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur and Dhenkanal, the Bhubaneswar MeT said in a release.

Such weather condition is likely to prevail between 11.15 am and 2.15 pm.

Meanwhile, under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over north Bay of Bengal off West Bengal coast, a low pressure Area has formed over northeast Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood today. It is likely to become more marked and turn into a depression during next 48 hours.
