Agriculture varsity & textile hub in Sambalpur, if BJP voted to power in Odisha

Sambalpur: An agriculture university and a textile hub would be set up in Sambalpur district if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power in Odisha, Union Minister and the party’s Sambalpur Lok Sabha segment candidate Dharmendra Pradhan said today in a press conference held here.

Speaking on BJP ‘Sankalp Patra’, Pradhan said, “It is not a manifesto alone but Modi’s Guarantee.”

Sambalpuri textiles will be promoted and weaver families in the district will be patronised to make the handloom clothes popular in the world market. Steps will be taken to improvise the quality of Sambalpuri textiles. Moreover, the district would be converted into a food processing hub and an agriculture university would be set up if BJP is voted to power in the State, the senior leader stated.

“BJP will soon release a ‘Sankalp Patra’ especially for Sambalpur district,” Pradhan expressed.

Under ambitious Subhadra yojana, each woman will be given cash vouchers worth Rs 50,000.

Ayushman Bharat yojana will be implemented within a month after BJP-led government is formed in Odisha. Women empowerment through self-help group (SHG) formation is a successful initiative of PM Modi. The Central government has been providing funds under several welfare schemes for the betterment of SHGs. Twenty-five lakh women SHG members will be made Lakhpati Didis, Pradhan added.
