Bhubaneswar: All India Congress Committee (AICC) today appointed Smt. Meenakshi Bahinipati as the president of Odisha Pradesh Mahila Congress, an AICC press release issued in this regard stated.

Congress party’s national president has approved the proposal for her appointment and accordingly, Meenakshi was appointed with immediate effect, the party’s general secretary KC Venugopal said.

Worth mentioning, Meenakshi is the wife of Jeypore Congress MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati. The former District Congress Committee (DCC) president in Koraput was earlier replaced by Durga Shankar Sahu.
