Ailing elephant calf rescued from Satkosia Sanctuary in Odisha

A sick baby elephant was rescued today from a nullah in Satkosia Sanctuary in Angul district of Odisha.

It is suspected that the elephant calf was ill due to sunstroke.

According to reports, the elephant calf was spotted by locals lying in a nullah in the sanctuary.

After receiving information from the locals, the forest officials rushed the spot and rescued the sick baby elephant. .

The elephant is currently undergoing treatment and recovering fast, informed a forest official.

Probably, the elephant had fallen sick due to sunstroke, he added.
