Air Squadron of Coast Guard inaugurated in Odisha capital

Vice Admiral and Director General, Coast Guard Anurag G Thapliyal inaugurated a new air squadron unit at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in the Odisha capital this morning.

According to reports, two planes of the Coast Guard would be stationed at the new Air Enclave at the airport.

The two Coast Guard planes would be in charge of surveillance along the Odisha coast. They would also keep a close watch on the Puri coast for any suspicious movements in the sea during the Nabakalebara festival scheduled next year, sources said.
