Aircel, one of India’s leading telecom players, today announced the launch of its 3G services in Jajpur and Paradip towns in Odisha.
The customers in Jajpur and Paradip can experience the faster and smarter 3G services on their mobile phones or via Aircel 3G dongles.
On the purchase of any Pocket Internet pack within the next six months, the customers will enjoy 25% extra of high speed internet.
Speaking on the occasion, Hamir Bakshi, regional business head, South II, Aircel, said Odisha is an important market for Aircel to expand its 3G footprint in the region. With more and more people using their 3G enabled devices like smart phones and tablets for live streaming of sports matches, TV shows, internet gaming, video calling, etc., it is imperative to have a seamless data service with great speed and voice clarity only with 3G.
“We are also launching 3G in Bhadrak and Baleswar districts by the first week of December this year. With the launch of 3G services in Jajpur, we will provide our customers fast and seamless data connectivity. Now, our customers can consume live streaming videos, HD content, gaming, social networking and browsing at faster speeds,” Bakshi said.
Aircel already has already provided 3G services in Brahmapur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Rourkela , Keonjhar and Jajpur Road. The company had witnessed a 33% growth in 3G subscriber base in 2013 and a 164 % increase in 3G data revenues.
“We are expecting more growth in this space given the fast developing ecosystem for 3G handsets”, added Bakshi.
