Alert! Heavy rain, thunderstorm in 11 Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: With the southwest monsoon likely to arrive in some parts of Odisha later in the day, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre issued thunderstorm alert for as many as 11 districts across the state today.

As per the latest bulletin issued by the MeT centre, moderate thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and intense spells of rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khorda and Nayagarh.

The weather condition is likely to prevail  in the stations till 1.30 pm today.
