Alert train driver averts mishap at Jamshedpur

Passengers of New Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express, which had left Odisha capital today, had a miraculous escape after the engine of the train derailed while entering Tatanagar Junction railway station. However, there has been no report of any damage to life and property.

The incident occurred at around 3.05 pm when the train was entering platform no.2.

A major mishap was averted as the driver of the train limited the derailment to the engine of the train. Bogies of the train were shifted to platform no.3 and the same train has left the station at 5pm. The train left for New Delhi after it was provided with a new engine, sources said.

Meanwhile, the officials have ordered an inquiry into the incident.
