All Odisha Collectors alerted as heavy rainfall, lightning to lash several districts

Bhubaneswar: Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Odisha today alerted all district Collectors to remain alert, cautioning that heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in several districts for next few days.

The SRC asked the Collectors to keep administrative machinery ready to face any eventuality. They have also been asked to immediately submit a report on the damage, if occurred due to thunderstorm and lightning.

As per the latest bulletin issued by the Regional MT Centre said thunderstorm along with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts, including  Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Ganjam and Sundargarh from 8.30 am of June 28 to 8.30 am of July 3.

Weather forecast & warning for districts:    

Till 8.30 am of June 29 ( Yellow warning)

Thunderstorm along with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of
Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur.

From 8.30 am of June 29 till 8.30 am of June 30 ( Yellow warning)

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of
Odisha.

From 8.30 am of June 30 till 8.30 am of July 1 ( Yellow warning)

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Boudh and Deogarh.

From 8.30 am of July 1 till 8.30 am of July 2 ( Yellow warning)

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Khordha,
Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Angul.

From 8.30 am of July 2 till 8.30 am of July 3 ( Yellow warning)

Heavy rainfall very is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada.
