All Odisha MLAs to undergo COVID-19 test before Budget Session

Bhubaneswar: As a part of precautionary measure for COVID-19, all MLAs of Odisha will undergo RT-PCR test before the commencement of the Budget Session of the Legislative Assembly, which is scheduled to begin from February 18.

As per the decision of the Health Department, there will be RT-PCR test for all the members of the Odisha Legislative Assembly along with their PSOs and drivers from 08.30 AM to 01.30 PM and 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM on 15.02.2021 and 16.02.2021 and from 08.30 AM to 01.30 PM on 17.02.2021 on the Assembly premises by team of doctors.

All of them will once again undergo the RT-PCR test after conclusion of the session.

If any member feels uncomfortable during the session of the Assembly, they may go for Antigen test by the doctors. The MLAs will be provided with face shield, mask, hand gloves and sanitizer daily before the commencement of each sitting during the session.

There will be RT-PCR test for all the officers and staff of the Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) Secretariat along with officers and staff of office of the Chief Minister, Ministers, Leader of Opposition, Ministers of State, and Government Chief Whip from 08.30 AM to 01.30 PM and 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM on 15.02.2021 and 16.02.2021 and from 08.30 AM to 01.30 PM on 17.02.2021 on the Assembly premises.
