Amidst COVID-19 crisis, Odisha aims to bring economy back on track

Bhubaneswar: Even as COVID-19 pandemic has impacted economic activities in Odisha due to nationwide lockdown, the State Government is trying hard to bring its economy back on the track.

Amidst pandemic, the Government has geared up to drive the industrial activities and employment generation programmes in the State. This was revealed at the 189th State Level Facilitation Cell (SLFC) meeting conducted through video conferencing with nodal officers from different industries on Wednesday.

At the meeting, the participants assessed the proposals of various sectors like cement, tourism and hotel industries.

The Government also focused on creating industry-ready infrastructure and making available skilled workforce for the industry.

Notably, the pandemic has posed new challenges to business worldwide. But, it has provided opportunities to diversify, collaborate, reimagine and reinvent businesses without boundaries.
