Amit Shah slams Naveen Patnaik government, raises Ratna Bhandar issue at Ganjam public meeting

Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader Amit Shah today launched a scathing attack on the Naveen Patnaik government in Odisha and raised the issue of Ratna Bhandar of the Shree Jagannath Temple.

Addressing a public meeting in Aska, Ganjam, Shah asked as to where are the original keys of the Ratna Bhandar and who created its duplicate keys.

He promised that if the BJP forms government in Odisha, it will make the Ratna Bhandar inspection report public after six days of the government formation.

Shah accused the Odisha government of trying to make the pilgrim town of Puri a tourist spot. “The Naveen Patnaik government is trying to convert the holy land of Puri into a tourist spot. They demolished mutts and temples for the Parikrama Project. All four doors of the Shree Jagannath Temple are not being opened, for which the devotees are facing inconvenience. I promise that a BJP Chief Minister in Odisha will open the four doors on the day he/she takes oath as CM,” said Shah.

“The Naveen Patnaik government stopped the people of the state from celebrating the consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on January 22. I want to tell Naveen Babu that the people of Odisha will not forgive those who did such thing,” he said at the public meeting.

Claiming that the Odisha government has been trying to hijack the Central Government schemes, Shah said, “PM Narendra Modi provides rice free of cost to the people of Odisha, every month. The Naveen Patnaik government has hijacked the scheme by branding it as his yojana. Odisha will soon have a BJP government. The Naveen Patnaik government hasn’t implemented the Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme, fearing that it will hamper his popularity. However, there is no need to worry as the Naveen Patnaik government will bid goodbye to Odisha. From June 1, people of Odisha will get the benefits of the scheme with healthcare coverage of Rs 5 lakh.”

“In the last 25 years, Naveen Patnaik has pushed Odisha 50 years back. As many as 6412 villages in Odisha lack roads. If BJP is voted to power in Odisha, Narendra Modi will ensure roads in all villages of the state within two years. The income of farmers in Odisha is the lowest in the country as their paddy is sold at low prices. I want to assure the farmers that the BJP government will fix the MSP of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal in the state. Congress government had sanctioned Rs 1.41 lakh crore for Odisha in 10 years. On the other hand, Modi ji allocated Rs 6.31 lakh crore in ten years,” Shah added.
