Anjana Mishra gang-rape: CBI grills main accused Biban Biswal’s family

Cuttack: A team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today went to the house of Biban Biswal, the main accused in the high-profile Anjana Mishra gang-rape case, at Naranapur village under Baranga police limits in Cuttack district for questioning.

A three-member team of the investigating agency interrogated Biban’s family members and some locals in connection with the incident.

Yesterday, two CBI officials met the survivor at her residence for a discussion and later said chargesheet will be filed soon.

On March 3, the CBI had conducted Test Identification (IT) parade of the accused inside Bhubaneswar Special Jail in Jharpada in the presence of JMFC Srujalin Mohanty. During the TI parade, survivor Anjana Mishra had identified Biban.

A few days after, CBI took Biban to the spot in Barang area for recreation of the crime scene.
