Anna Hazare to visit Odisha on Nov 6

Bhubaneswar: Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare will visit Odisha capital to attend a national-level farmers’ conclave scheduled on November 6.

Veteran Gandhian and social activist is scheduled to address a large number of farmers at the National Conclave to be held by Navnirman Krushak Sangathan (NKS) at Baramunda, informed NKS convener Akshaya Kumar here today.

Five months after formation of the government in Odisha, the beneficiaries are yet to get KALIA money. Even the crop insurance scheme has not been implemented under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), he alleged targeting Odisha government.

Notably, the farmers body has been fighting demanding hike of minimum support price (MSP) of paddy, pension and prestige for farmers.
