Annual CBSE exams for class X, XII begin in Odisha

The annual examinations for Class X and XII, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began in Odisha today.

CBSE-logoThe three-hour examinations, began at 10.30 AM, will conclude at 1.30 PM.

Out of nearly 58,000 Class X students 20,000 students each from West Bengal and Chhattisgarh and 17,500 students are from Odisha are appearing under the CBSE Bhubaneswar Regional Centre.

In Class XI examinations, 12,000 students from Odisha, 16,000 from Chhattisgarh and 19,000 are appearing the examinations.

The examinations are being held in 58 centres in Odisha, 45 in Chhattisgarh and 51 in West Bengal.

As informed by AS Burma, director, Bhubaneswar Regional Centre, three-tier squad has been formed to monitor and supervise the examinations.

“Apart from this, a special team of observers of the Bhubaneswar Regional Centre would visit these centres during the examinations”, he said.
