Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 3543 fresh COVID-19 cases today, following which the state's tally surged to 1,20,221 informed the Government.
Khordha recorded all-time-high 878 fresh cases followed by Mayurbhanj (326) and Cuttack (295).
Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2161 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1382 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 29,299. However, 90,331 patients have recovered in the state so far.
It is pertinent to mention here that total 50,663 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 20,48,008 tests have been conducted in the state.
