Bhubaneswar: In yet another horrific incident of violence on the premises of Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (BJB) Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar, three students suffered critical injuries after they were allegedly stabbed by a group of outsiders following an argument over playing cricket on the campus playground here today. Badagada police has so far detained five persons in this connection.

Though the identities of the injured victims have not been ascertained yet, preliminary investigation revealed that they were staying in Ambedkar hostel of the college. They have been admitted to the hospital in a critical state.

Sources said the three students were playing cricket on the college campus early in the morning when a group of non-bonafide students came and exhorted them to leave. The former did not comply and a heated exchange ensued following which the three students were chased and stabbed by 15 boys of the other group.

This is the second such incident in a week after an integrated MBA student of the college was attacked with a sharp object by miscreants.
