Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered a significant rise in the daily COVID-19 cases as 161 more persons tested positive for the virus during the last 24 hours.
Yesterday, the state had reported 113 fresh infections. The figure crossed 100-mark for the second day in a row.
Out of the 161 new cases, 24 are children below 18 years of age.
Khurda district has highest number of cases at 60, followed by Cuttack (32) and Sundargarh (13).
With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state rose to 1289602 with 629 active cases.
