Kendrapara: Amid hue and cry across Odisha over the incident of a class-VIII girl student delivering a baby in Kandhamal district, another minor girl has reportedly given birth to a baby in Patkura area of Kendrapara district.

The girl, a student of class-X, complained of labour pain last evening following which she was admitted to Patkura community health centre, where she delivered a baby boy this morning.

Police have started investigation into the incident. Preliminary probe revealed that the girl had a relationship with a boy of the locality and it is suspected that she might have been impregnated by him.

After the delivery, the minor girl and the newborn were taken to a correctional house by Pallishree Samiti Members.
