Another Odisha chit fund firm top executive pleads guilty

Bhubaneswar: One of the directors of Micro Finance Ltd currently lodged in a jail in Odisha capital today pleaded guilty before a local court here.

Ashok Patnaik pleaded guilty to the crime of defrauding investors before Spceial CJM CBI court here, sources said.

Notably, CBI had in its preliminary chargesheet in February, 2015  had named five people including former CMD of the company, Durga Prasad Mishra, his brother Upendra Mishra and son Kaliprasad Mishra, Besides, it had also named Ashok Patnaik and Baikunthanath Patnaik – both directors of the company.
