Another person hospitalised in Odisha over suspected coronavirus

Cuttack: A 35-year-old man hailing from Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district has been admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital here for suspectedly being affected by novel coronavirus (nCoV).

The person has been kept under observation at isolation ward of the hospital. He was working as an engineer in a private company in Hong Kong and developed symptoms of coronavirus after returning home on January 25. Swab and blood sample of the person has been sent for test.

Odisha government on Tuesday said it has identified 14 people who have returned to the state from China and Thailand following outbreak of the killer novel coronavirus (nCoV) but none have tested positive for it.

The state government said that all preparations have been made to tackle the disease and all district hospitals are ready with at least five beds specially meant for the nCoV suspected patients.
