Another senior Congress leader resigns in Odisha  

Kandhamal: Resentment continues to grow among Congress leaders in the State over distribution of tickets with yet another senior member resigning from the party today.

Senior Congress leader from Kandhamal district Sudarshan Kanhar today resigned from the primary membership of the party citing displeasure over denial of party ticket.

He sent his resignation to Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Niranjan Patnaik today.

“I was given party ticket from Phulbani Assembly Constituency in 2014 elections. I had won 21,500 votes. But I did not get any ticket for the upcoming elections for which I decided to quit the party,” Kanhar said in the resignation.
