Archana Nag case: Businessman appears before ED for grilling

Bhubaneswar: In fresh development in money laundering case against Archana Nag, a businessman appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for interrogation in connection with ‘dubious’ financial dealings with the woman blackmailer.

The businessman Amiyakant Das appeared at office of the central investigative agency here based on a summon served to him for grilling to ascertain the financial transaction he made with Archana Nag.

There was allegation that Amiyakant had deposited Rs 10 lakh in bank accounts of Archana Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand in the financial year 2021-22. He is among 12 others summoned by the ED in Archana Nag case.

Besides, renowned filmmaker Akshay Parija is likely to appear before the ED today in connection with the case.

Earlier, the ED had summoned Parija based on a complaint he had filed against Archana and Shradhanjali Behera alleging blackmailing.

According to complaint, Archana impersonating as a lawyer had demanded Rs 3 crore from Parija threatening to tarnish his reputation by making his objectional videos and photographs with a woman public.
