ASBM University introduces innovative UG programmes

Bhubaneswar: ASBM University has introduced innovative UG programmes for the first time in Odisha with option for multiple exit and entry of the students during their undergraduate career.

Based on the UGC’s Curriculum and Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programmes (CCFUGP) under the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, the programme structure is multi-dimensional and is intended to promote research orientation.

Further, the ASBM curriculum gives special emphasis on skill development for employability. It also includes inputs on Indian culture and ethos to develop moral character and ethical values of the future citizens of the country.

This curriculum allows a student to get a Certificate after one year, a Diploma after two years, a Degree after three years, and a Degree with Honours and Research after four years. A Student having secured 75% marks in the 4-year Honours and Research Degree can join the Ph.D. programme directly without waiting for a Masters’ degree.

Presiding over the Board meeting of ASBM University specially convened to consider the new curriculum, the Founder and President of the University Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak remarked that the new curriculum with emphasis on research and option for multiple exit and entry will bring a revolutionary change in the educational sphere of the country. This attempt by ASBM University has been appreciated by the academicians and the intelligentia.

ASBM University will offer the new curriculum from the academic year 2023-24 in different courses like BBA, BBA-E Commerce, B.Com., BCA, BS-Computer Science, BS-IT Management, BA–English, BA-Economics, BA-Psychology and BA-Communication & Media.
