Asit Tripathy is new Development Commissioner of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today appointed 1986 batch IAS officer Asit Tripathy as the new Development Commissioner (DC) of the State.

According to an official notification, Tripathy, who is currently holding the post of Principal Secretary, Home Department, has been given the additional charge of DC.

Tripathy replaced incumbent DC R. Balakrishnan, who took retirement from service today, it added. He will also remain in charge of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Home.

Similarly, 1994 batch IAS officer, Ranjana Chopra, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Cooperation, has been given the additional charge of Odisha State Warehousing Corporation (OSWC) Chairman following the retirement Sangram Keshari Mishra.

Besides, Chief Secretary AP Padhi has been appointed as Chairman of Odisha State Pollution Control Board, the notification said.
