Assam unrest: More trains running through Odisha cancelled

Bhubaneswar: Railway authorities today cancelled more trains running through Odisha in view of ongoing unrest in Assam over passage of Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 in Parliament.

As the massive protests spread to other parts of India especially neighbouring West Bengal affecting railway services at different railway stations in Howrah-Kharagpur Railway Section of South Eastern Railway, over a dozen of trains have been cancelled today.

While one train from Howrah has been cancelled on Dec 16, three trains including one express will remain off the track from Puri today.

01. 22859 Puri-Chennai Express from Puri on Dec 15 due to cancellation of link train.

02. 58002 Puri-Santragachhi Passenger from Puri on Dec 15 due to cancellation of connecting train.

03. 58404 Puri-Khurda Passenger on Dec 15 due to cancellation of connecting train.
