ASSRA distributes fodder for cyclone hit cattle

OST Bureau
Bhubaneswar, Oct 20:

New Delhi-based voluntary organisation Association for Social Service and Rehabilitation of the Aged (ASSRA) on Sunday distributed fodder for cattle in Denga village in Balipatna block.

Cyclone Phailin and the subsequent floods submerged grazing land in Balipatna and Balianta blocks located on the outskirts of the city and left cattle starving for the last seven days. Local social organization Jayadev Bikash Manch helped the ASSRA team in distributing fodder to the village people.

The organisation will distribute fodder in other areas of Balipatna and Balianta blocks in a phased manner.

ASSRA executive coordinator Susant Sahoo and social worker Siba Prasad Pattjoshi were among those who participated in the fodder distribution programme.
