Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance today arrested Reshma Majhi, Assistant Revenue Inspector and in-charge Revenue Inspector, Belgaon RI Circle, Balangir district and a person namely Babulal Nanda for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 10,000.

As per reports, the accused had demanded the amount from the complainant to forward enquiry report in a mutation case in favour of the complainant's relative to Tehsil office, Saintala for issuance of ROR.

The anti-corruption agency recovered the bribe money from the possession of the accused duo and seized it.

Following the arrest, simultaneous searches were going on at two locations belonging to Majhi over suspicion of possession of assets disproportionate to her known sources of income.
