At 35, Odisha registers HIGHEST ever COVID-19 deaths in single day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered 35 deaths, the highest ever fatalities due to COVID-19 in a single day since the pandemic began last year.

“Regret to inform the demise of 35 numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

Of new deaths, the highest number of single-day fatalities was reported from Khordha and Angul districts with 5 each followed by Sundargarh and Nabarangpur districts with 4 each and Kendrapara with 3 cases.

While 23 persons died due to COVID-19 without other health complications, the remaining 12 deceased persons including a 20-year-old youth had comorbidities.

6.A 71 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

7.A 60 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

8.A 45 years old female of Bhubaneswar.

9.A 42 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

10.A 47 years old male of Bhadrak district.

11.A 68 years old male of Boudh district.

12.A 20 years old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Renal Transplant.

13.A 65 years old female of Ganjam district.

14.A 47 years old male of Jagatsinghpur district.

15.A 34 years old female of Jharsuguda district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

16.A 56 years old male of Jharsuguda district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
