Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Capital city turned a hot cauldron today as it recorded the day temperature at 43.3 degrees Celsius. As per the data provided by the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar recorded the third highest day temperature in the month of April since 2011.
The city’s highest maximum temperature was at 45.8 degrees Celsius, recorded on April 11, 2016. It had recorded the second highest maximum temperature 43.7 degrees Celsius on April 16, 2019.
The State Capital had recorded the day temperature at 43.2 degrees Celsius on April 25, 2021.
The meteorological centre also forecasted maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 3-4 degrees Celsius during next 24 hours over the districts of Odisha.
In the interior parts of the State, the day temperature is likely to be above normal by 3-5 degrees Celsius in next four days, it added.
