Autorickshaw driver’s daughter tops All India Trade Test in Odisha

Sambalpur: ITI student Sagarika Bakli emerged as Odisha topper in All India Non-traditional (Electrician) Trade Test here in the district.

Sagarika Bakli, the student of ITI Hirakud, Sambalpur, topped the national-level trade test in women category with 98 percent.

Sagarika Bakli’s father Thomas Bakli, a resident of Chakraborty Pada in Hirakud, is an autorickshaw driver. Her mother Prabati Bakli is a homemaker.

Government ITI Hirakud congratulated Sagarika on her achievement in a tweet.

“Govt.ITI HIRAKUD congratulates SAGARIKA BAKLI, on being female topper of the STATE. Best wishes for achieving the best place and all the best for the upcoming days,” ITI Hirakud tweeted yesterday.

The meritorious student aims to become a top engineer in future with achievement of feat in the technical education.

Last year, Birendra Seth from ITI Hirakud had topped the examination in Machinist trade. This year, Sagarika Bakli made it to the top list making the state-run ITI institute proud.

“Every girl should be skilled and independent,” Sagarika said, crediting her success to her parents and teachers.
