Baby girl found abandoned in Odisha capital, hospitalised

Bhubaneswar: A newborn baby girl was found in an abandoned state at a secluded place in Prasanti Vihar area of Odisha capital today.

A passerby heard cries of the baby and rescued her in an injured condition. The newborn has been admitted to the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here for treatment.

Police have started investigation into the incident and efforts were on to identify the person who abandoned the baby.
