Balasore MLA Madan Mohan Dutta passes away

Bhubaneswar: Balasore Sadar MLA and BJP leader Madan Mohan Dutta passed away at a private hospital here today, informed family sources. He was 63.

The legislator was undergoing treatment at the hospital and died of a heart attack. He was ill for the last several months and was being treated for liver-related ailments, sources added. He is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter.

Dutta had successfully contested the 2019 Assembly polls from the constituency as a BJP candidate.

Leaders, including Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, cutting across party lines expressed grief over the demise of Dutta.

ବାଲେଶ୍ୱରର ବିଧାୟକ ମଦନମୋହନ ଦତ୍ତଙ୍କ ଚିକିତ୍ସାଧୀନ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ଏପରି ଦୁଃଖଦ ସମୟରେ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଇବା ସହ ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରୁଛି।
